Upgrades and Retrofits

At JOA, we value longevity. Our business, our facilities, our employees and our customers are prime examples of this philosophy. Our machine design philosophy is no different.

We have been asked, why JOA machines are built so heavily.
We have also been asked if they could be built shorter, with the units packed closer together, so they would look more elegant.

The answer is simple. We want an installed JOA machine to stay put. That means our design resists the day to day abuse present in an industrial environment. It also means that there is space available in the process to add future retrofits without moving the machine. If a machine ever needs to be moved for a retrofit, the frame is designed to stay square and intact after the installation.

Disposable products are constantly changing. Every day we have engineers and technicians working to upgrade our machines in the field to produce the next generation of products.
