Executive Management

Gene F. Kiela II, President
Gene F. Kiela II joined Curt G. Joa Inc. in 1979. Prior to joining the company, Gene received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Gene is a grandson of the founder, Curt G. Joa and as such has grown up in this closely held family business for most of his life. Gene began his career at Joa working in the engineering department. In 1985, Gene was appointed to the board of directors and currently serves as Company President.

Michael J. Brookins, Executive Vice President and CFO
Mike joined the Joa Company in 2002. Prior to joining the company, Mike was employed by Pemco, Inc., a member of the Koerber Group, in various positions for 25 years. Mike attended the University of North Dakota and graduated from Lakeland College with a BA in Accounting. Mike is a licensed CPA. Mike is also the Managing Director for Curt G. Joa Europe GmbH and serves on the Company's Board of Directors.

Dan Van Dyke, Director of Sales and Marketing
Daniel Van Dyke joined JOA's engineering group in 1989 and has since held positions in mechanical engineering, project management and sales engineering. As Director of Sales and Marketing, Dan has responsibility for the Sales Engineering group and the Technical Service and Customer Service organizations. Dan also serves on the company's Executive Committee. Dan's extensive technical knowledge of JOA machines and the industry we serve equip him well to provide oversight to the specification, sale and customer field service requirements for JOA’s equipment offerings.

Greg Middlesworth, Director of Operations
Greg joined the Curt G. Joa Inc. company in 1983. Prior to joining the company, Greg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
Greg began his career working in various manufacturing positions from machinist, assembler, production scheduler, and buyer. In 1995 Greg was appointed to the position of Manufacturing
Manager and in 2010 Greg was named Director of Operations.

Perry Handziak, Director of Engineering
Perry joined the company in 2004. Perry is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Prior to joining the company, Perry held positions in global engineering and manufacturing, major projects management, new product development and was the Director of Operations for a packaging company.

Robert Andrews, Director of Research and Development
Rob joined the Joa Company in 1992. Rob is a licensed Professional Engineer and has held various positions in engineering and sales prior to serving as the Director of Research and Development. Rob holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
